Justin Krohn is an Emmy-nominated freelance picture editor living in Los Angeles, CA. Born in Minneapolis, MN, he studied film editing & directing at Columbia College in Chicago. Upon receiving his BFA he moved to Los Angeles to begin his career, starting first as an assistant editor on low-budget films before working on the 1st season of The Office for NBC. In 2005, he moved to New York to work for Martin Scorsese on the Bob Dylan documentary, No Direction Home, and later, the George Harrison documentary, Living in the Material World. While in New York, he worked primarily on documentaries and independent films, including Michael Haennke’s US version of Funny Games, starring Naomi Watts & Tim Roth. In 2009 he returned to Los Angeles & has since been editing on several television series including: White Collar, Children’s Hospital, American Horror Story: Hotel, American Horror Story: Roanoke, Bloodline, Twin Peaks: The Return, & Mr. Robot. Justin is currently editing the new show of Homecoming for director Sam Esmail & Amazon Studios. Justin is known as a hard-working, creative, & dedicated editor.
